Bold Color, Fearless Light, and the Freedom to Break the Rules

I paint because color doesn’t ask permission—it transforms, it defies, it speaks. My work explores contrasts: the way light meets shadow, boldness softens into elegance, and how the unexpected can feel like home. These aren’t just paintings; they’re invitations to see the world—and yourself—with fresh, unrestrained eyes.

From Film Frames to Paint Canvas: Life in Technicolor

I’ve spent my life chasing light and the stories it tells. As a child, I sketched vivid worlds long before I had words to describe them. Later, I explored the magic of light and shadow through the lens of film, earning a Ph.D. studying the cinematic power of color.

But the moment I dipped my brush into oil paint, I found my true language. The luxurious buttery texture, the unrelenting vibrancy, the freedom of the medium—it was transformative. My process isn’t about rules; it’s about discovery. Every painting begins with a pink ground (because why should it start as neutral?) and evolves stroke by stroke and layer upon layer as a conversation between light and dark, instinct and color.

The Light in a Window, the Mystery of a Shadow, the Power of a Shape

Beauty, for me, is everywhere. It’s in the flowers I grow, in the fleeting light that transforms an ordinary room, and in the quiet tension of a still life. My garden feeds my palette, and my love of classic film fuels my dramatic flair.

The Fauves—those fearless renegades of color—are my creative compass. Like them, I believe art should be unapologetic. It’s about daring to be bold, to delight in contrasts, and to invite wonder into every corner of life.

For Walls That Refuse to Go Unnoticed

My paintings are for people who want more than decoration. They’re for the ones who crave art that feels alive, ignites curiosity, and holds its own in any space. Whether it’s a painting in my gallery or a bespoke commission, each piece is a celebration of individuality and radiant expression.

This isn’t art that stays in the background. It’s art that insists on being seen—bringing light, energy, and bold beauty into your home.
